Wing Swimming Gala

On the 21st of August Sgt Anderson, Cdt Lieberman, McNeil, and McIntosh represented the Squadron at the Wing Swimming Competition.

All cadets done their very best and came away from the competition with 3 silver medals! Well done guys!

The Squadron had a successful visit to 4AEF last Tuesday.

All six cadets in the detail flew, with Cadets Fagan, Cameron and Geddes achieving their first flights in the Tutor.

Also flying were Sergeant Armstrong and Cadets Brennan and Marshall. Escorting the cadets, and making his 2175 debut was CI Peter Allish, recently transferred from 449 (Lanark) Squadron. Welcome Peter.

Our thanks to Flight Lieutenant Lawless and the rest of the 4AEF team who made our visit so successful.

Today's visit to 4AEF on the 18th of July allowed Cadets McNeil, White and Marshall to get airborne after the disappointment of having Friday's visit weathered off. In addition, Cadet Brennan achieved his first flight in the Tutor. It wasn't all plain sailing though - the detachment was weather delayed from 0815 until midday and it took another hour before the weather finally behaved and flying could go ahead. Many thanks to Squadron Leader Roxborough and his team for making our visit a success.

Opening of Parliament

Members of the squadron were in Edinburgh for the State Opening of Parliament on the 2nd of July.

Today, 6 cadets were at Glasgow Airport for air experience flying with 4AEF.

Cadets Marshall and McIntosh had their first flight today!

However, 3 cadets were unable to fly due to the worsening weather.

Corps Cross Country Champion!

A massive congratulations to Cpl Jordan Gilchrist who has just been crowned Corps Cross Country Champion after winning the Corps Competition.

It was held at RAF Cranwell on the 19th of March.

Well done Jordan, we're all very proud.

ATC 75 Church Parade

Cadets attended a very special church parade to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the ATC.

The service was held at Glasgow Cathedral on Sunday the 7th of February and several 2175 cadets had key roles. Cpl Gilchrist and Cpl Armstrong served as ushers, Cdt Garcia played in the Wing band and Cdt White played in the Regional Pipes and Drums.

Clydebank RAC Camp
